Insights: News Releases Kollin Zimmermann Joins Kilpatrick Townsend in Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES (October 14) Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today the addition of Kollin Zimmermann to the firm’s Los Angeles office. Mr. Zimmermann joins as an associate in the Trademark and Copyright Team in the firm’s internationally recognized Intellectual Property Department.

Mr. Zimmermann focuses his practice on intellectual property litigation, particularly in cases involving trademark, copyright, unfair competition, false advertising, and trade secret claims, as well as related business disputes. Mr. Zimmermann has litigated cases in a broad range of industries, including apparel, consumer electronics, entertainment, and gaming. He also has substantial experience litigating matters involving e-commerce and other Internet-based intellectual property issues.

Prior to launching his legal career, Mr. Zimmermann, a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, worked as a financial analyst and loan consultant for the Jefferson Parish Economic Development Commission (JEDCO) where he administered a state and federal cooperative relief program designed to aid the economic recovery of New Orleans from the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.

Mr. Zimmermann earned his J.D. from the University of San Diego Law School. He was a member of the National Moot Court Team and won several awards for his brief writing and advocacy skills. Upon graduation, Mr. Zimmermann received the Virginia C. Nelson Award for being the top student in advanced advocacy courses. He received his B.S. in Economics from Auburn University.
