WASHINGTON, D.C. (May 12) – Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today that Robert H. Edwards, Jr. has been selected by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) of the U.S. Department of Energy, to participate in its 2015 Executive Energy Leadership Program (Energy Execs).

Energy Execs is a five-month program that offers executive decision-makers from the U.S. an in-depth look at renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies. Participants receive briefings by NREL technology experts, research laboratory tours and visits to renewable energy installations all with the objective of deepening the technical knowledge and understanding of emerging renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies. Program participants will also do a deep dive on policy and regulatory issues and how they impact the commercialization of new clean technologies.

Since its inception, over 200 representatives of industry, government and non-profit organizations have completed the Energy Execs program. NREL Director Dan Arvizu noted in the NREL Press Release, "NREL is pleased to welcome these business, community and government leaders so they can better understand the implications of their energy decisions and demonstrate leadership for the long-term clean energy economy".
