CHARLOTTE (November 3) -- Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today that attorney Chris Fernandez was recently honored by Legal Services of Southern Piedmont (LSSP) with the Outstanding Individual Pro Bono Service Award. Mr. Fernandez was recognized at the 5th Annual Pro Bono Awards Reception at the Mint Museum Uptown at Levine Center for the Arts in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Mr. Fernandez was recognized for his passionate advocacy as one of the first pro bono attorneys to embrace LSSP’s Safe Child Immigrant Project. He has accepted multiple cases providing due process and security to families. Mr. Fernandez also serves as a mentor and has inspired his colleagues, as well as attorneys at other firms, to join in this project. Mr. Fernandez’s timeless and quick work in these emergency cases provides families with legal assistance that is vital to their safety, and his commitment to equal access to justice is met with great appreciation by the community.
Mr. Fernandez is a member of Kilpatrick Townsend’s Real Estate Finance and Capital Markets team and typically represents financial institutions and loan portfolio servicers in a variety of transactions.
