Insights: News Releases Kilpatrick Townsend’s Jay Bogan Appointed to the Board of the Chattahoochee Parks Conservancy

ATLANTA (December 15) – Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today that partner Jay Bogan was recently appointed to the Board of the Chattahoochee Parks Conservancy (CPC).

The CPC is the officially recognized friends group for the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area, which is a series of park units along 48 miles of the Chattahoochee River in Atlanta, Georgia. The CPC seeks to help build community support and promote stewardship of its natural and cultural resources. The National Recreation Area provides hiking, canoeing, kayaking, and even trout fishing in an amazingly natural environment for being so close to an urban setting. It provides opportunities as a classroom for the natural environment as well as the history of those who have lived along these waters.

Mr. Bogan concentrates his practice on complex commercial litigation, with particular emphasis in civil RICO, business tort and class action cases. He has substantial experience representing clients before federal and state trial and appellate courts and arbitration tribunals, as well as coordinating the efforts of in-house and outside lawyers in significant multi-jurisdictional litigation. He has authored numerous articles on civil RICO and has tried and litigated cases through appeal that resulted in the creation of new law under both the federal and Georgia RICO statutes. Mr. Bogan focuses on litigation involving technology companies, including the litigation of trade secret and related claims and claims for breach of nondisclosure agreements and other forms of restrictive covenants. He also has extensive experience in the litigation of business tort claims between competitors and contracting parties, including in the franchise and manufacturing contexts.
