ATLANTA (July 8) – Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today that attorney John Moye has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Georgia Chapter of the Georgetown University Alumni Association. Mr. Moye, a Class of 1998 alumnus of Georgetown, was one of 14 alumni elected to serve on the Board.

The Georgia Chapter coordinates alumni outreach and relations for prospective, current, and former Georgetown students located throughout the state of Georgia. In addition to hosting various social events throughout the year for current and prospective students, the Chapter is actively involved in community service projects throughout the state.

Mr. Moye focuses his practice in the areas of technology and software litigation, trade secrets and restrictive covenants, telecommunications, and complex business litigation. He has represented clients in a number of federal and state court proceedings throughout the United States, including representing a large telecommunications provider in a contractual dispute with a number of rural carriers over the provision of so-called “Long Term Evolution” (LTE) technology, representing a Charlotte-based iron distributor in a trade secret case against a number of former employees, representing a Research Triangle-based software company in a patent ownership dispute with a former inventor, and representing a number of businesses in cases involving the theft of electronic data. Mr. Moye has also represented a number of software companies in cases arising out of failed software implementations.
