Merri McCoy Joins as Counsel
DALLAS (September 7) – Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today the addition of prominent attorney Merri McCoy to the firm’s expanding Dallas office. Ms. McCoy is joining the firm’s Real Estate Finance and Capital Markets team as Counsel.
Ms. McCoy focuses on commercial real estate finance, with an emphasis on mortgage lending and loan servicing regularly representing lenders and servicers. She regularly represents lenders and servicers in various performing and nonperforming loan scenarios, including loan sales, transfers of ownership interests, assumptions, modifications and loan workouts, as well as the exercise of remedies and REO sales.
Before joining Kilpatrick Townsend, Ms. McCoy was counsel in the Dallas office of an international law firm. Earlier in her career, she served as deputy general counsel for a publicly traded company.
Ms. McCoy earned a J.D., cum laude, from Southern Methodist University Law School. She received her B.S.B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of Texas at Dallas.
