Firm Adds Jason Steed
DALLAS (September 19) – Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today the addition of Jason Steed to the firm’s Dallas office. Jason joins the firm as Counsel in the Appellate Practice of the Complex Commercial Litigation Team in the firm’s Litigation Department.

Mr. Steed has considerable experience representing clients in both state and federal appellate courts across the nation, including the Supreme Court of Texas, the Supreme Court of California, the Supreme Court of Oklahoma, the Supreme Court of Alaska, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
Mr. Steed represents clients in a variety of industries and has handled commercial, civil, and criminal appeals involving issues from a variety of practice areas. Previously, he interned for Judge Paul Kelly of the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, and was a member of the Supreme Court and Appellate Practice group at a large international law firm.
Mr. Steed regularly publishes articles and gives presentations on the U.S. Supreme Court and on issues relevant to appellate practice – including an annual review of the Supreme Court’s major decisions, which he presents at the end of each term to numerous organizations. He also maintains a blog (formalegalis.com) and is active on Twitter (@5thCircAppeals).
Mr. Steed earned his J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law, with honors. He received his B.A in English from Brigham Young University and his M.F.A. in Creative Writing from the University of Idaho. Mr. Steed earned a Ph.D. in English & American Literature from the University of Nevada Las Vegas.
