The American College of Coverage Counsel (ACCC) honored Mary Craig Calkins with its Thomas F. Segalla Service Award at its Annual Meeting in Chicago in recognition of her dedication and service to the College. From 2016 to 2017, Ms. Calkins served as the ACCC’s national President.

The ACCC, established in 2012, is the preeminent association of U.S. and Canadian lawyers who represent the interests of insurers and policyholders. Its mission is to advance the creative, ethical and efficient resolution of insurance coverage and extracontractual disputes; to enhance the civility and quality of the practice of insurance law; to provide peer-reviewed scholarship; and to improve the relationships among the members of our profession. Ms. Calkins heads Kilpatrick Townsend’s West Coast Insurance Recovery practice, and has more than 30 years of experience handling and litigating all aspects of insurance recovery for policyholders in complex and high-value matters. She has recovered hundreds of millions of dollars for companies and individuals under directors and officers liability, cyber, management liability and professional errors and omissions policies, and has facilitated settlement of some of the most complicated directors and officers liability issues in the country.
