Insights: News Yale Law Women Ranks Kilpatrick Townsend Among Top Firms for Gender Equity and Family Friendliness

ATLANTA (May 6) – Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today that the firm was highlighted by Yale Law Women in its 2019 report on the top firms for gender equity and family friendliness.

The report noted Kilpatrick Townsend as an industry leader in several categories, including:

Percentage of women equity partners;
Number of men associates taking caregiver leave;
Percentage of associates working reduced schedules.

In making this determination, Yale Law Women surveyed top law firms on gender equity and family friendly policies such as paid leave, part-time work options, partner promotions and the composition of leadership committees. The report notes that while people who identify as women and gender nonconforming make up about half of the nation’s law school graduates, there is still an immense gap in gender representation in the law, especially at the partnership levels of law firms. It encourages law students to applaud the efforts of firms that have demonstrated this commitment while urging law firms to learn from their peers, adapt to a changing legal profession, and continually advocate for their workers.

“We take great pride in being known as a family friendly firm,” said Yendelela Neely Holston, the firm’s Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer. “It is a real honor to be recognized for our progress by Yale Law Women.”
