Sustainability Environmentally Conscious

Kilpatrick Townsend’s Sustainability commitment has promoted concrete ways to build sustainability into the way we do business since 2008. From using recycled office products to prioritizing environmentally-conscious office construction, our firm offices, attorneys, and professional staff do our part — and more — to care for our planet both globally and at a grassroots level.

As one of the first signatories to the ABA/EPA Law Office Climate Challenge, Kilpatrick Townsend continues to go above and beyond the standard requirements, while still committing to every aspect of the program. As one of 15 law firms on the EPA Green Power User List, we have purchased 100 percent Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) since 2008 — the equivalent of removing the greenhouse emissions from more than 1,478 passenger vehicles annually — to help offset our carbon footprint when only a 30 percent REC purchase is required. Our Atlanta and Raleigh offices are LEED Gold Certified, while our off-the-grid office in Augusta, Georgia is powered completely by hydro turbines. While we strive to consume natural resources more responsibly, we also learn from and support our clients who are leaders in their industries.
