Volunteerism Serving Others
Kilpatrick Townsend’s award-winning Volunteerism program creates a spirit of service integral to the culture of our firm. By partnering with nonprofit organizations and schools across the country that are a catalyst for change, we also build various skills that help our attorneys and staff succeed professionally. Each U.S. office boasts a Volunteer Council of attorneys and professional staff, which helps to identify and execute projects in our core focus areas of Educational Equity and Economic Opportunities and that support sustainable and resilient communities. We execute hundreds of projects annually, and offer flexible hours to encourage our attorneys and professional staff to volunteer at firm-sponsored endeavors. Consequently, our year-round commitment to volunteerism continues to build our legacy as a firm dedicated to service.
We dedicate the majority of our volunteer efforts to promote access and opportunity for underrepresented populations. Our primary goal of building a diverse pipeline of talent for the legal profession requires that we focus on STEAM subjects and specific skill development, such as reading, writing, communication, and critical thinking. We also organize various college and career readiness opportunities to further expose students to new experiences to help prepare them for their future career path.
