International Practices: Latin America
Recognizing that Latin America represents one of the largest developing markets in the world, Kilpatrick Townsend’s Latin America Team helps clients explore and realize emerging opportunities and minimize risks in Central and South America, Mexico, and the Caribbean. Our interdisciplinary group of attorneys comes well-versed in local business environments and cultures, and includes members who speak fluent Spanish and Portuguese. Not having a physical office in Latin America allows us to build strong relationships with local counsel and consulting firms, who seek a collaborative partner rather than a competitive adversary.
With 11 integrated practice teams across seven U.S. offices, we represent both U.S.- and non-U.S.-based clients with interests in Latin America, as well as Latin American clients doing business in the U.S. across a variety of industries. To improve and protect our clients’ businesses and experiences throughout the region, team members actively maintain contact with legal representatives and frequently travel to the region.
By understanding the region’s legal and business practices, we quickly identify key issues, risks, and business drivers affecting our clients and tailor our services accordingly. We deliver results-oriented counsel for corporations at all stages of the growth cycle. Our attorneys leverage our wide network of international relationships to provide additional value to clients through professional collaborations and client introductions with key business contacts in many countries. To further build and strengthen our Latin American relationships, we actively sponsor, attend, and present at conferences and events hosted and/or broadcasted in the U.S. and Latin America.
