On March 20, 2020, Treasury Secretary Mnuchin announced that the IRS would be extending the due date for filing of certain federal income tax returns otherwise due on April 15, 2020, to July 15, 2020. This announcement supplements I.R.S. Notice 2020-17 issued on March 18, 2020, extending the due date for paying certain income taxes until July 15, 2020.
