Insights: News Kilpatrick Townsend Wins HRI Angel of Freedom Award

In April, the Human Rights Initiative of North Texas (HRI) recognized Kilpatrick Townsend as one of three outstanding volunteers with its signature Angel of Freedom Award for 2019. The firm joined Catholic Charities of Fort Worth and Dr. Jenifer Williams in making significant contributions that enabled HRI to advance the organization’s mission by making a profound difference in the lives of many immigrants living in North Texas. HRI pro bono attorneys Alan Wright, Raymond Fischer, Jason Steed, and Jennifer Graf represented the firm at the ceremony.

HRI promotes international human rights through legal and social services to local refugees and immigrants, who have suffered human rights abuses. Through its extensive network of volunteer attorneys, it offers free legal services, including case management and referrals to appropriate area service providers, job search assistance, group activities, and individual guidance.

We dedicate this award to the memory of Jason Fatheree, a remarkable partner and colleague, as well as a strong advocate for HRI.
