Insights: News Kilpatrick's Government Relations Team Continues Strategic Growth
Key Additions in Washington, D.C. and North Carolina
WASHINGTON, D.C./RALEIGH (January 29) – Kilpatrick announced today the additions of Reagan Larkin and Story Oliver to the firm’s expanding Government Relations and Regulatory Team. Ms. Larkin has joined the firm as a Policy Analyst in Washington, D.C. and Ms. Oliver has joined the firm as a Policy Analyst in Raleigh
Ms. Larkin brings extensive experience working with Congress and will assist clients with complex legislative issues including appropriations, natural resources, energy, and Native American issues. Ms. Oliver will represent a wide variety of clients, assisting them with public policy issues and appropriations matters, and advocating on their behalf primarily before the North Carolina General Assembly and local governments.
Before joining Kilpatrick, Ms. Larkin served as a Legislative Assistant for Congressman Jerry Carl (AL-01) in the U.S. House of Representatives. In this role, she advised Representative Carl on critical issues such as Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, Energy and Water, and Interior Appropriations. Her efforts led to the successful advancement of legislation and the securing of essential language in multiple appropriations bills. Additionally, Ms. Larkin played a pivotal role in advising Representative Carl on Native American issues while he served on the Indian and Insular Affairs Subcommittee.
Ms. Oliver worked at a bipartisan lobbying firm in Raleigh, North Carolina, where she gained valuable experience working with various members of the North Carolina General Assembly to develop government solutions for client concerns and she researched and gathered materials necessary to assist clients with their lobbying and marketing needs. Earlier, she also served as an account coordinator at one of the nation's largest independently held public relations, advertising, and digital media agencies based in Raleigh. In this position, she aided in the development of ideas and conducted research in support of public relations, advertising, and marketing initiatives for clients.

Ms. Larkin earned a B.A. in Communication Studies, with a major in Political Science and a minor in Public Relations, from the University of Alabama. Ms. Oliver earned a B.A. in Media and Journalism: Advertising & Public Relations, with a Minor in Public Policy, from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
The additions of Ms. Larkin and Ms. Oliver come after the high-profile announcements in 2024 of Senior Government Relations Advisor Dylan Reel joining Kilpatrick in Raleigh and Government Relations Advisor Keval Patel joining the firm in Washington, D.C.
