Mary Kate Driscoll serves as the firm’s Department Operating Officer (DOO) for its Corporate (COR) Department. She is responsible for all strategic and operational aspects for the COR Department including managing operational effectiveness, revenue growth and profit maximization, overseeing business development efforts and client satisfaction, and monitoring the effectiveness of the department’s hiring, training, and retention of talent. Mary Kate also participates in special projects for the firm’s Chair, the Executive Committee, and the Chief Operating Officer.
Mary Kate is an experienced law firm executive with an MBA and more than 20 years of combined senior level involvement in strategy, financial management, practice management, performance management, lateral recruiting and integration, talent development, legal ops, and leadership development.
Prior to joining the firm, Mary Kate was Practice Director in the Intellectual Property (IP) Department of an AMLaw 100 firm where she worked closely leaders to manage the business operations including strategic planning, business priority identification, timekeeper utilization, resource allocation and management, and implementation of the department’s strategic plan. Previously, Mary Kate was Director of Practice Management in the Chicago, Illinois office of an AMLaw 200 firm where she focused on implementing practice management and integration of several practice groups after a law firm combination.
