Overview

Lori Hunt advises purchasers, sellers, borrowers, developers, and lenders in all types of commercial real estate and finance transactions. She focuses her practice on the acquisition, financing, and disposition of commercial real estate, including the servicing of commercial mortgage backed securities (CMBS) loans. Lori has significant experience representing special servicers and financial institutions in connection with the workout and enforcement of distressed real estate loans, with an emphasis on the restructuring of hotel related loans. She also advises on matters involving REMIC tax regulations and pooling and servicing agreements relating to CMBS loans.

Prior to joining the firm, Lori was Vice President and Deputy General Counsel to one of the largest publicly traded commercial real estate investment trusts (REIT) in the country where she was primarily responsible for providing legal support and strategic guidance to its real estate investment and servicing divisions, which services the largest portfolio of CMBS loans in the country. Previously, Lori was a partner at a Miami, Florida based law firm in its real estate group.
