Sarah Kamran focuses her practice on patent litigation matters, leveraging her experience and academic background in technology and intellectual property law. She has worked with industry innovators across various sectors, including telecommunications providers, game developers, global electronics manufacturers, and biotechnology companies. Sarah applies her deep understanding of technology and innovation to help clients protect their intellectual property and achieve favorable outcomes in patent litigation disputes. Sarah has experience in many aspects of litigation, including claim construction, discovery, motion practice, taking and defending depositions, infringement and validity analysis, pre-trial proceedings, and trial.
While attending UCLA School of Law, Sarah served as a writing advisor in the Legal Research and Writing Program, mentoring first-year law students on developing strong legal arguments. She worked with the firm as a summer associate in 2021, gaining valuable hands-on experience. Sarah also served as a research assistant at the UCLA Law Institute for Technology, Law, and Policy, where she conducted research related to emerging technology, law, and society. As a student associate in the Startup Legal Garage, she performed freedom-to-operate analyses for a biotechnology startup under attorney supervision. Additionally, she was the Managing Editor of the UCLA Journal of Law and Technology, overseeing the publication of scholarship on legal issues in the tech space.

Experience
Represented Ring Container Technologies, LLC in offensive patent infringement action against a competitor in the Eastern District of Texas regarding packaging technology. After engaging in early fact discovery, the dispute favorably resolved in a private mediation before Judge David Folsom (ret.). Ring Container Technologies, LLC v. Altium Packaging LP, No. 2:21-cv-464 (E.D. Tex.).
