Max Kling focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation matters. He represents clients in all facets of litigation at the state, federal, and administrative levels including various forms of alternative dispute resolution and appeals. Max advises businesses and individuals in a wide variety of complex litigation matters including general corporate disputes, contract disputes, employment disputes, real estate and land use disputes, and intellectual property disputes. He also represents private companies in the drafting of service contracts and construction contracts.
Prior to joining the firm, Max was an associate in the Litigation Group at HMB Legal Counsel, a well-established, corporate-focused law firm based in Chicago, Illinois where he focused his practice on commercial litigation. Previously, Max worked as a litigation attorney at a full service law firm based in Chicago, Illinois where he represented clients in complex commercial litigation matters as well as real estate matters such as tax appeals, real estate tax incentives, land use, and municipal law.

Experience
*Represents a payment plan provider for vehicle service contracts which has resulted in the award of judgments totaling in excess of $3,000,000.
*Represents a fire and rescue equipment supplier in the enforcement of a foreign judgment, which has resulted in the partial satisfaction of the judgment through a turnover order directed to the judgment debtor’s banks and the granting of summary judgment in a foreclosure on the judgment debtor’s real estate.
*Defends a Chicago grocery store chain in vacating a judgment entered by the City of Chicago Department of Administrative Hearings for unpaid local taxes, which has resulted in the negotiation of a settlement saving the client approximately $100,000.
*Represented a common interest community association in the foreclosure of a lien, which resulted in the negotiation of a settlement in favor of the association.
*Represents a fiber optics construction company in the negotiations of construction contracts, which has resulted in the client being awarded contracts in excess of $50,000,000.
*Represented several adult use cannabis dispensary operators in acquiring special use zoning permits from municipalities across the state of Illinois.
