Kylan Memminger focuses her practice on state and local tax controversies and planning. She helps multistate businesses, private and public multinational companies, and high-net-worth individuals identify tax concerns and create customized strategies to minimize tax liability while maximizing business objectives.
With her background as a multistate SALT consultant in the Indirect Advisory Group at an industry-leading audit, consulting, tax, and advisory services provider, Kylan has a keen understanding of the indirect taxation of multinational corporations spanning various locations and industries.
Prior to joining the firm, Kylan was an associate in the State and Local Tax (SALT) Group at HMB Legal Counsel, a well-established, corporate-focused law firm based in Chicago, Illinois where she resolved tax controversies and counseled clients on tax planning matters.
Kylan was recognized in 2025 as one of the "Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch" for Tax Litigation and Controversy and Tax Law by The Best Lawyers in America®. In 2024, she was recognized as a "Woman to Watch in Sales Tax" by the Sales Tax Institute.
