Kevin Quan focuses his practice on labor and employment law with a particular emphasis on defending employers in a wide range of issues including claims for discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, failure to provide reasonable accommodation, leave law violations, wage and hour class and collective actions, unfair competition, and tort and contract-based disputes. Kevin also has experience litigating claims under the California Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) and other representative claims under state and federal law. Additionally, he regularly advises and represents clients in administrative proceeding matters before entities such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the California Civil Rights Department, and the California Labor Commissioner’s Office.
In addition to his litigation practice, Kevin also counsels employers regarding employee handbooks, leaves of absences, terminations, arbitration and severance agreements, and wage and hour issues, including compliance with the California Labor Code and California Wage Orders.
Prior to joining the firm, Kevin was an associate in the San Francisco office of a national labor and employment law firm where he represented employers in all areas of employment litigation and counseled employers on a variety of workplace matters. Previously, Kevin was an associate in the San Francisco office of a California-based law firm where he provided strategic counseling to employers on claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage and hour violations in both state and federal courts.
While attending law school, Kevin served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Edward M. Chen in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California and the Honorable A. James Robertson II in the California Superior Court. He won third place for Best Brief in the David E. Snodgrass Competition and served as Executive Managing Editor for the UC Hastings Constitutional Law Quarterly.
Kevin was recognized in 2026 as one of the "Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch" for Management Labor and Employment Law and Labor and Employment Litigation by The Best Lawyers in America®.
