Michelle Wilco focuses her practice on international and domestic brand management and trademark enforcement, as well as U.S. trademark disputes and oppositions before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB). She helps clients determine the availability of trademarks, develop and implement trademark registration strategies worldwide, and monitor and enforce trademark rights. Michelle represents clients in a variety of industries, including hospitality, travel, food, restaurant and beverage, retail and consumer goods, technology, apparel, and entertainment.
Prior to joining the firm, Michelle worked as an associate in the Trademark and Copyright Group of an international law firm in its Atlanta, Georgia office.
Prior to launching her legal career, Michelle worked at a television and media conglomerate in its Atlanta, Georgia headquarters as a Standards and Practices Editor for television programs and movies.
While attending law school, Michelle was a graduate research assistant in Georgia State University’s Center for Intellectual Property. She served as a legal extern at Georgia Lawyers for the Arts in Atlanta, Georgia. Michelle also served as an Associate Articles Editor of the Georgia State University Law Review and was recipient of its Best Student Note Award in 2017.
Michelle currently serves on the Advisory Board for Georgia Lawyers for the Arts (“GLA”) and on the Leadership Council for Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation (“AVLF”). She also serves on the firm’s Volunteer Council.
Michelle was recognized as a Georgia "Rising Star" in 2024 for Intellectual Property by Super Lawyers magazine.
