Overview

Briggs Wright focuses his practice on trademark and copyright litigation, enforcement, and counseling. Briggs has represented clients across a wide spectrum of industries in every aspect of legal and administrative proceedings before federal courts, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, and the U.S. International Trade Commission. He also assists clients in tailoring and executing large scale policing and enforcement campaigns to protect their intellectual property rights.

Prior to joining the firm, Briggs was an associate at the New York City office of an international law firm where he supported clients in enforcement and defense of trademark and trade dress infringement claims, anti-counterfeiting efforts, dispute resolution, U.S. and international trademark clearance and prosecution, and brand management.

While attending law school, Briggs served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Randolph Beales in the Virginia Court of Appeals and was a Senior Editor of the Journal of Intellectual Property and Entertainment Law.

Briggs was recognized as a New York “Rising Star” in 2024 for Intellectual Property Litigation by Super Lawyers magazine.

Before pursuing a career in law, Briggs earned a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Texas at Austin.
