Insights: Perspectives International Women's Day 2022 | Yendelela Neely Holston
When I started my career, I looked at the top of the partnership ranks and did not see anyone who looked like me. No one whose path I thought I could model. Women represent over 50% of law school classes but are only 26% of law firm partners. This number is even lower for Black women who represented 0.86% of law firm partners in 2021. These numbers are unacceptable given the demographics of our society. Thus, I became a Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer to #BreakTheBias in the legal profession.
