Alyssa Karpinski focuses her practice on wealth preservation, asset protection, estate planning, family office planning, and income tax planning. She partners with individuals and families, helping them to create estate plans that protect their assets, pass on wealth to future generations, and accomplish their unique goals. Alyssa prioritizes getting to know her clients, from their asset profile to their family dynamic, to provide comprehensive advice.
Working with executors, trustees, and financial institutions in probate proceedings and trust and estate administrations, Alyssa advises on the various aspects of serving as a fiduciary. She advises trustees in handling accountings, investments, tax compliance, and the day-to-day aspects of serving as a fiduciary. She works with clients to proactively address disputes, and when disputes cannot be avoided, she has litigated matters to advance her client’s position with a goal toward resolving the dispute quickly.
Prior to joining the firm, Alyssa was an associate in the Private Client, Trusts and Estates Group at HMB Legal Counsel, a well-established, corporate-focused law firm based in Chicago, Illinois where she focused her practice on estate planning and administration, asset protection, and trust administration and litigation.
