WINSTON-SALEM (August 5) – Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today that the Board of Governors for the North Carolina Bar Association and Foundation have appointed attorney Jon Harris to the Legal Aid of North Carolina (LANC) Board of Directors. Mr. Harris will serve a three-year term.

LANC is a statewide, nonprofit law firm that provides free legal services in civil matters to low-income people in order to ensure equal access to justice and to remove legal barriers to economic opportunity.

Mr. Harris focuses his practice on intellectual property and patent litigation. His experience includes patent and commercial litigation matters across a broad spectrum of technologies, and he has worked on cases pending in federal courts at both the trial and appellate levels. Mr. Harris is also a registered patent attorney before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
