Insights: News Kilpatrick Townsend Bolsters Antitrust Team
Thomas Lang Joins in Washington, D.C.
WASHINGTON, D.C. (April 6) – Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today the addition of Thomas Lang to the firm’s Washington, D.C. office as a partner on the firm’s internationally recognized Antitrust & Trade Regulation Practice.
Mr. Lang brings a rare combination of antitrust and competition law perspective from various lenses in private practice, government, and academia. His experience includes navigating international price-fixing cases, allegations of predatory or discriminatory pricing, monopolization claims, class actions, multi-district litigation, state court indirect purchaser litigation, and civil and criminal investigations by the FTC and the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice.
“Tom is an exceptional antitrust lawyer who has earned a phenomenal reputation during his twenty-five years in private practice and as a government enforcer at the Federal Trade Commission,” said Pete Boyle, Chair of Kilpatrick Townsend’s Antitrust Practice. “His skills and experience adds valuable bench strength to our internationally renowned antitrust practice. Prior to joining his previous firm, Mr. Lang served as a Senior Litigation Counsel with the Federal Trade Commission. Mr. Lang has also led a prestigious military career having served as staff on the U.S. Senate Select Committee on POW/MIA affairs and as a Military Intelligence Officer in the U.S. Army Reserves and the Army National Guard rising to the rank of Major.

Mr. Lang earned his J.D. from Cornell Law School. He received his M.A. from Georgetown University and his A.B. from Princeton University. Mr. Lang’s deep experience in antitrust law has led to his appointment to senior leadership positions in the Antitrust Law Section of the American Bar Association. He is currently serving as Vice Chair of the Compliance and Ethics Committee. Additionally, Mr. Lang has previously served as the chair of the Business Torts and Civil RICO Committee, and vice chair of the Trial Practice Committee. He has taught an antitrust law course at Cornell Law School and is a frequent speaker and legal writer on a wide variety of antitrust topics and issues.
