Overview

Lauren Brenner focuses her practice on international trademark enforcement, mainly in the European Union, individual European countries, Africa, the Middle East, and much of Asia. She has extensive experience with global enforcement strategies and has managed trademark oppositions and cancellations in over 50 countries globally. Further, she advises clients on global trademark portfolio management, including clearance, application prosecution, enforcement, and counseling. Lauren engages with foreign counsel to work through complex prosecution and enforcement issues and has successfully resolved international and cross-jurisdictional disputes. Lauren is also an Adjunct Professor at Emory University School of Law and Georgia State University College of Law where she teaches Trademark Prosecution.

Prior to joining the firm, Lauren worked as a trademark prosecution and intellectual property litigation associate at an intellectual property boutique law firm based in Atlanta, Georgia where she oversaw trademark searches, trademark application prosecution, and intellectual property enforcement, as well as handled TTAB and federal court litigation. Previously, Lauren worked as a trademark/copyright and employment litigation associate at law firms based in Atlanta, Georgia.

Lauren was recognized as a “Rising Star” in 2024 and the five years immediately preceding for Intellectual Property by Super Lawyers magazine. She was recognized in 2021 as one of the "Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch" for Intellectual Property Law and again in 2025 and the three years immediately preceding for Intellectual Property Law and Intellectual Property Litigation by The Best Lawyers in America®. In 2017, Lauren received the “Young Lawyer of the Year” Award by the Atlanta Council of Younger Lawyers.

While attending law school, Lauren received the Dean’s Award for Outstanding Achievement in Trademark Law and was on the Dean’s List for Fall 2012 and Fall 2013. Lauren also served as a judicial intern/clerk for the Honorable Judge Morris Braswell in Clayton County State Court, an extern in the Trial Division of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, a summer intern in the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, and an extern at the U.S. Federal Trade Commission.
