Ted Davis assists clients with litigation and portfolio management in the fields of trademark, copyright, false advertising, and unfair competition law. He is a member of the American Bar Association’s Board of Governors and a past chair of the ABA’s Section of Intellectual Property Law, on behalf of which he has testified before Congress on trademark and Internet issues. He also has served on the American Intellectual Property Law Association’s Board of Directors and on the Executive Committee of the International Trademark Association. He frequently serves as an expert witness in trademark-related matters, is an adjunct professor at the Emory University School of Law, and regularly authors amicus briefs to the Supreme Court of the United States and other federal courts.

Impossible X LLC, 80 F.4th 1079 (9th Cir. 2023) (co-counsel in successful appeal from dismissal of declaratory judgment action for want of specific personal jurisdiction).
Represents Galperti, Inc., a leading manufacturer of steel flanges and related items, in litigation before federal appellate courts and the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. Galperti, Inc. v. Galperti S.r.l., 17 F.4th 1144 (Fed. Cir. 2021) (lead counsel in successful challenge to finding of no fraudulent procurement by Board).
Has represented Fender Musical Instruments Corporation before trial and appellate courts and the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. Fender Musical Instruments Corp. v. Swade, 772 F. App’x 282 (6th Cir. 2019) (lead counsel in successful defense of finding of contempt by district court).
Represents Light & Wonder, a leader in the video gaming industry, in prosecution matters and litigation before federal trial and appellate courts and the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
