Ashley Edmonds focuses her practice on domestic and international trademark counseling, portfolio management, clearance, and enforcement matters. She helps clients assess the availability of trademarks for use and registration, develop and implement complex trademark registration and protection strategies, monitor and enforce trademark rights, and manage trademark disputes throughout the world. Ms. Edmonds advises clients across diverse industries including hospitality, travel, cosmetics and beauty, technology, and financial services.
Ms. Edmonds was recognized in 2025 as one of the "Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch" for Technology Law by The Best Lawyers in America®. She was recognized as a Washington D.C. “Rising Star” in 2023 and the four years immediately preceding for Intellectual Property by Super Lawyers magazine. Ms. Edmonds is listed in the 2024 edition of World Trademark Review 1000 – The World's Leading Trademark Professionals. In 2022, she was named to the Capital Pro Bono Honor Roll, which recognizes the contributions of those D.C. Provide counsel to The Honey Baked Ham Company, LLC, in all aspects of the company’s business including business and corporate strategy, trademark enforcement and protection, and portfolio management.
Provide specialized pro bono counsel in the Whitman-Walker Name & Gender Change monthly legal clinic, assisting clients in need with taking the first steps toward legally changing their names and gender markers on important legal documents. Involved with the clinic since its inception in 2012.
Provide non-partisan pro bono legal assistance during elections as a participant in the Election Protection initiative led by Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law to ensure that all voters have an equal opportunity to vote and have that vote count.
Provide specialized pro bono counsel to the American Cancer Society’s Cancer Action Network (ACS-CAN) by monitoring and reviewing agency actions and cases. Work with ACS to identify recent decisions potentially worthy of its official comment or support.
