Christine James focuses her practice on domestic and international brand management. She helps clients determine the availability of trademarks, develop and implement appropriate trademark registration programs, monitor and enforce trademark rights, and leverage the goodwill of trademarks through licensing. Ms. James regularly advises clients embarking on extensive domestic and international trademark protection programs. She counsels, coordinates and oversees numerous international contentious proceedings. She serves as a principal editor of the Country Guides, an electronic publication of the International Trademark Association which is used by many trademark owners and practitioners around the world as a ready reference on international trademark law and practice.
Ms. James was recognized in 2025 and the eight years immediately preceding by The Best Lawyers in America® for Trademark Law. In 2018 and the five years immediately preceding, she was recommended by Legal 500 US in the area of Non-Contentious Trademark Law. Ms. James was recognized as a leading national trademark practitioner in the 2024 and the eight immediately preceding editions of World Trademark Review 1000 – The World's Leading Trademark Professionals.
