Overview

John Jett represents plaintiffs and defendants in commercial and intellectual property litigation before state and federal courts as well as in arbitration. John primarily works with clients operating at the intersection of two or more of the technology, financial, telecommunications, franchising, and entertainment industries. Representative clients include AT&T, Truist, Aaron’s, Fidelity Information Systems, Global Cellular, Smoothie King, NewPoint Media, Veritiv Corporation, Gladys Knight, Flowers Foods, and ThinkFactory Productions.

John has represented clients at trial and arbitration in venues across the southeast from Washington, D.C. to Texas. While representing deserving businesses and individuals, he has helped clients prevail on substantial claims, including an eight-figure victory on behalf of a plaintiff corporation. While representing defendants, he has defeated numerous major claims, often through dismissals or summary judgments or the denial of class certification.

John is Chambers-ranked in the area of Georgia Commercial Litigation, is AV® rated by Martindale-Hubbell, and is a past-President of the Atlanta Chapter of the Federal Bar Association. He was recognized in 2024 and 2025 as a Georgia "Super Lawyer" in the area of Intellectual Property Litigation by Super Lawyers magazine. John was recognized in both 2020 and 2022 as a client service all-star by BTI Consulting following its survey of in-house counsel. John has been selected by his peers to act as a private mediator, and by state and federal judges to act as a court-appointed special master.
