Alicia Grahn Jones concentrates her practice in the areas of trademark clearance, prosecution, global portfolio strategy, and trademark enforcement. Alicia specializes in strategic management of large global trademark portfolios, including counseling for international enforcement on infringement issues. Alicia manages global enforcement programs by creating strategy protection plans for brand owners. Alicia has managed disputes in more than 200 jurisdictions and successfully resolved numerous complex cross-jurisdictional disputes. Alicia also routinely assists clients with global clearance and filing programs for new brands. Alicia also has extensive experience representing clients before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
Alicia was recognized in 2025 and the five years immediately preceding by The Best Lawyers in America® for Trademark Law. She was listed in the 2024 and the nine immediately preceding editions of World Trademark Review 1000 – The World's Leading Trademark Professionals. Alicia has been repeatedly recognized as a Georgia "Super Lawyer". In 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023, she was named a "Next Generation Partner" by Legal 500 US for Non-Contentious Trademark Law. Alicia was named a "Trademark Leader" in 2024 by World IP Review. The Daily Report recognized Alicia as one of the "Best Mentor" finalists during its annual Southeastern Legal Awards in 2024.
Alicia currently serves on the American Red Cross of Greater Atlanta Board of Directors and Emory University School of Law Alumni Board of Directors. Alicia is a past President of the Board of Directors for the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers and also served on the Board of Directors of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund for six years. Alicia is a Co-Chair of the firm’s Women’s Initiative.

Represents Delta Air Lines, Inc. in connection with its global trademark portfolio, including enforcement, clearance, prosecution, and maintenance.
Represents US Soccer Federation in connection with the protection of its brands, including assisting with enforcement in Paris, France in advance of the United States Women’s National Team’s competition in the 2019 World Cup.
Represents a world famous social media company in connection with managing its global registry enforcement program.
Represented a California-based Fortune 500 multinational corporation that designs and manufactures consumer electronics and computer software products in trademark enforcement work, including lead counsel representation of client in multiple proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
Successfully represented Texas Tech University in litigation to protect its school colors and trademarks. The firm’s motion for summary judgment resulted in the court finding liability as a matter of law, and also awarding more than $3 million in damages and attorneys’ fees. Texas Tech Univ. v. Spiegelberg, 461 F. Supp. 2d 510 (N.D. Tex. 2006).
Successfully represented University of Kansas in a trial against JoeCollege.com, a retailer selling various apparel using colors and other indicia of the University. Obtained award of attorneys' fees. University of Kansas v. Larry Sinks, et al., 2008 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 23765 (D. Kan. 2008).
