Overview

Patrick is the Managing Partner for the firm's Seattle office. He focuses his practice on patent preparation and prosecution, due diligence matters, infringement and validity opinions, portfolio analysis, patent litigation, and post-grant proceedings. Mr. Njeim represents clients in a wide range of technology areas, including Artificial Intelligence, Wireless Communications, Standard Essential Patents in the telecommunications space, Signal Processing, Computer Networks, Virtualization and Cloud Computing, Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, Medical Devices, Robotics, Autonomous Vehicles, and Intellectual Property Export Controls.

Before joining the firm, Mr. Njeim worked as an associate in the Seattle office of a national law firm. Previously, he worked for Boeing Commercial Airplanes for six years developing broad experience in systems engineering. Mr. Njeim’s responsibilities included the development of onboard and off-board airplane communications networks. In his most recent position with Boeing as Customer Engineer, Mr. Njeim managed airline accounts in Europe and Africa. He was responsible for negotiating, configuring, designing, and documenting airplane features, technologies, and systems specific to each airline.

As an Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Washington (UW) School of Law, Mr. Njeim teaches advanced courses in intellectual property. He also advises and mentors law students participating in independent study programs and law clinics, including the UW School of Law Entrepreneurial Law Clinic. Mr. Njeim is also a Patent Faculty Clinic Supervisor for the USPTO Law School Clinic Certification Program at UW School of Law.

Mr. Njeim was recognized as a Washington “Rising Star” in 2022 and the five years preceding for Intellectual Property by Super Lawyers magazine. He was also recognized in 2022, 2023 and 2024 as one of the "Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch" for Patent Law by The Best Lawyers in America®. Mr. Njeim was named a top patent practitioner in 2024 by IAM Patent 1000 – The World’s Leading Patent Practitioners.

Mr. Njeim is fluent in Arabic and French.
