Drew Williamson dedicates his practice to labor and employment litigation and counseling. Drew has represented and counseled employers across various industries, including financial services, hospitality, healthcare, technology, manufacturing, construction, and transportation, on a wide range of matters, including:
- Serving as first chair counsel at labor arbitrations and representing employers before the National Labor Relations Board and similar state or tribal agencies;
- Litigating and counseling businesses and executives on the meaning, drafting, and enforceability of various post-employment restraints, including non-compete agreements, non-solicitation provisions, confidentiality agreements, and other restrictive covenants;
- Prosecuting and defending matters seeking injunctive and equitable relief related to misappropriation of trade secrets, tortious interference, unfair competition, and other business-related claims;
- Defending employers nationwide in state and federal courts, before administrative agencies, and at arbitration against claims of discrimination, wrongful termination, and wage/hour violations arising under federal or state law, including single-plaintiff and collective actions;
- Partnering with employers to ensure they understand how changes in applicable local, state, and federal laws affect their policies and practices;
- Assisting employers in structuring and implementing reorganizations and reductions-in-force;
- Performing labor and employment due diligence on mergers and acquisitions on behalf of clients ranging from emerging growth businesses to Fortune 500 companies; and
- Conducting workplace training programs and seminars for employers concerning topics such as minimizing legal risks in the workplace, fostering positive employee relations, and wage and hour compliance.
Prior to joining the firm, Drew worked in the New York City office of a national labor and employment law firm and, prior to that role, he served as an Assistant Corporation Counsel in the New York City Law Department, defending the City of New York, its agencies, and management in a broad spectrum of labor and employment disputes.
While attending law school, Drew served as an intern in the New York State Office of the Attorney General’s Litigation Bureau, a judicial intern for the Honorable Justice Josiah P. Coleman in the Supreme Court of Mississippi, and as a judicial intern for the Honorable Jack Kirby in the Georgia Superior Court – Sixth Judicial Administrative District (JAD). Drew served as Executive Editor of the Mississippi College Law Review and was also a member of the Mississippi College Moot Court Board.
Drew was recognized as one of the "Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch" in 2023 for Labor and Employment Litigation and again in 2024 and 2025 for Management Labor and Employment Law and Labor and Employment Litigation by The Best Lawyers in America®. He was recognized as a New York "Rising Star" in 2025 and the three years immediately preceding for Employment Litigation by Super Lawyers magazine.
