As the world moves rapidly toward intergovernmental support for sustainable fuels and chemicals, the Molecule Group convened North American stakeholders to provide feedback on a COP 30 Sustainable Fuels Industry Declaration which will accompany an anticipated COP 30 Sustainable Fuels Pledge.
In support of Molecule Group's policy advocacy workstream, our roundtable brought together leaders from across the bio-, synthetic, and e-fuels industries to discuss:
- Moving away from iLUC and towards dLUC
- Standardizing certificates to enable market-based transaction for fuels and feedstocks
- Carbon accounting for bio-based chemicals and materials
- Standardizing carbon accounting and procurement methodologies for clean fuels
- SAF financing
- Sustainable Fuels roles in energy security
