WASHINGTON, D.C. (September 18) -- Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today that Edward Olifer and Erich Hellmold will be the featured speakers at the 2015 Ohio Bankers League/Illinois League of Financial Institutions Joint Convention. The convention will be held September 20 - 22, at the Belmond Charleston Place in Charleston, South Carolina.
Mr. Olifer and Mr. Hellmold will speak at a workshop titled, “Navigating the Current State of Bank Examinations: What Senior Management and the Board Need to Know.” The discussion will focus on the critical supervisory, safety and soundness, information technology and compliance issues the regulators are most closely focusing on in recent examinations.
Mr. Olifer concentrates his practice on mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings, Securities and Exchange Commission reporting and other regulatory and compliance matters for a variety of companies in the financial services industry. He has extensive experience in counseling clients on both federal and state financial institution regulatory and compliance matters, and counsels clients regarding federal and state charter selection and conversion options and procedures. Mr. Olifer also frequently advises boards of directors and committees of boards of directors on all aspects of corporate governance matters.

Mr. Hellmold regularly represents a variety of companies in the financial services industry, including public and private financial institutions, mutual financial institutions, credit unions, start-up/de novo financial institutions, investment banking firms and private investors. He counsels financial institution clients on a number of regulatory matters including issues related to the CFPB mortgage loan rules, Equal Credit Opportunity Act, Fair Housing Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and Truth in Lending Act. Mr. Hellmold serves as counsel to financial institutions on mutual to stock conversions, mutual holding company reorganizations and stock issuances, Regulation A offerings, private placement offerings and other types of equity and debt offerings. He also counsels clients on a wide array of corporate, securities and regulatory matters, including corporate governance, Securities and Exchange Commission reporting, public and private securities offerings, corporate reorganizations, strategic alliances and mergers and acquisitions.
