Insights: News Releases Kilpatrick Townsend Adds Stephen Anstey in Washington, D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. (October 13) Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today the addition of Stephen Anstey to the firm’s Washington, D.C. office as an associate in the Native American Affairs Team in the firm’s Litigation Department.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Anstey served as a Judicial Clerk for Chief Judge Allie Maldonado in the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians Tribal Court. He was also the Executive Director of the Native Amicus Briefing Project, a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering a greater understanding of federal Indian law in the federal courts as well as in the legal community at large.

Mr. Anstey earned his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School and his LL.M. from Harvard Law School. Prior to receiving his LL.M., Mr. Anstey was one of approximately 20 law school graduates from around the world accepted into the Harvard Law School Graduate Program as a Visiting Researcher. Additionally, while attending the University of Michigan Law School, Mr. Anstey served as the Chairman of the University of Michigan chapter of the Native American Law Students Association. He received his B.A. in Political Science from the University of Connecticut.
