Partner James Sze Joins Firm
SAN DIEGO (January 29) – Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today the addition of James Sze to the firm's Intellectual Property Department in the San Diego office. Mr. Sze joins as a partner in the firm’s Electrical Engineering & Software (EES) Team.

Mr. Sze focuses his practice on intellectual property law. His work includes strategic patent portfolio management, identifying technology for IP protection, auditing in-house intellectual property management practices, and both patent prosecution and patent litigation. As a registered patent attorney with over 20 years of experience, Mr. Sze has counseled clients in a variety of technologies, including analog and digital circuits, natural language processing, semiconductors, optics, ultraviolet/laser equipment, image processing, hard disk drives, radio-frequency antennas, nano devices, microprocessor design, computer networking, encryption and data compression, computer simulation, and business methods.
Mr. Sze holds a J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law; an M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of California, San Diego; and a B.S. in both Electrical Engineering/Computer Science and Materials Science Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley. Prior to joining private practice, Mr. Sze worked as an engineer at Qualcomm.
