Insights: News Releases Kilpatrick Townsend Attorneys Receive USPTO Patent Pro Bono Achievement Certificates

DENVER (May 1) – Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today that the  United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) awarded 2019 Patent Pro Bono Achievement Certificates to Torrey Spink, Aaron Swehla, Suzanne Walts, and Evelyn Zhao, all attorneys in the firm’s Denver office. 

Each attorney was recognized for contributing over 50 hours of pro bono services to the USPTO Patent Pro Bono Program, a nationwide network of independently operated regional programs that match volunteer patent professionals with financially under-resourced inventors and small businesses for the purpose of securing patent protection. In addition, Kilpatrick Townsend was recognized as a firm for contributing a combined 1,138 hours to pro bono patent programs across the country in 2019.

“Our commitment to pro bono service is well known, and every attorney who joins our firm knows it is one of our most important priorities,” said Tamara Serwer Caldas, who heads the firm's Pro Bono Program. “It is so rewarding to be able to make a difference in the communities where we live and work.”
