Insights: News Releases Ruming Leo Wen Joins Kilpatrick Townsend in Atlanta

ATLANTA (October 7)Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today that Ruming “Leo” Wen recently joined the firm’s Intellectual Property Department’s Electronic Engineering & Software Team in Atlanta.

Dr. Wen focuses his practice on patent preparation, prosecution, and counseling and assists technology companies in protecting their most valuable intangibles. With his robust technology background and global perspective, he uses his prior work experience in the U.S. and China to create robust patent strategies and further client goals. 

Prior to joining the firm, Dr. Wen was an associate in the Atlanta, Georgia office of a national law firm. His practice concentrated on patent preparation and prosecution as well as providing legal opinions on infringement, non-infringement, and freedom-to-operate. Dr. Wen also served as a patent engineer for the largest IP law firm in China, where he prepared or prosecuted 180+ patent applications. 

Dr. Wen earned his J.D. from Georgia State University College of Law. He received his Ph.D. in Microelectronics and Solid State Electronics from Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences and his B.S. in Physics from Peking University.
