ATLANTA (March 24)Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today that Danielle (Dahni) Barav-Johnson has joined as Counsel on the firm’s nationally-recognized Bankruptcy & Financial Restructuring Team in Atlanta. Ms. Barav-Johnson comes to Kilpatrick Townsend from Jones Day.

Dahni Barav-Johnson brings years of experience representing national and international clients in corporate restructuring, bankruptcy, and other insolvency-related matters. Ms. Barav-Johnson’s practice focuses on representing corporate and municipal debtors in chapter 11 and chapter 9 proceedings, and complex bankruptcy litigation. In addition, she counsels clients on a wide range of in-court and out-of-court insolvency and bankruptcy issues, including creditor claims and concerns, the sale and acquisition of assets under section 363 of the Bankruptcy Code, bankruptcy committees, fraudulent conveyances, preferential transfers, and fiduciary duties. Ms. Barav-Johnson has experience in the energy, construction, food production, transportation, manufacturing, mass tort, and entertainment sectors. 

Ms. Barav-Johnson is an industry thought leader. She frequently publishes articles on a variety of bankruptcy topics, including the sale of goods under section 503(b)(9) of the Bankruptcy Code and the safe harbor for certain financial transactions created by section 546(e) of the Bankruptcy Code. Ms. Barav-Johnson earned her J.D. from Vanderbilt University, where she was Managing Editor of the Journal of Entertainment and Technology Law. She earned her B.A. in International Relations and Spanish from Washington University in St. Louis.
