Insights: News Kilpatrick's Real Estate Finance and Capital Markets Team Grows in San Francisco with Key Addition
SAN FRANCISCO (October 24) – Kilpatrick announced today that Kristian J.F. Bornemann has joined as Counsel on the firm’s nationally recognized Real Estate Finance and Capital Markets Team in the San Francisco office. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Bornemann was a Principal and Shareholder in the San Francisco and New York offices of a national law firm where he was lead counsel for both lenders and servicers.
Mr. Bornemann represents special servicers in connection with borrower loan requests, including loan assumptions, permitted and non-permitted transfers, re-structures, modifications, consents, forbearances, workouts, borrower re-financings and leasing. He also represents lenders with the negotiation and closing of large CMBS, CLO and portfolio loans, mezzanine and subordinate debt, and open–end credit facilities and revolvers.

Mr. Bornemann earned his B.A. in Government and Law from Lafayette College and his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School. He recently earned certifications in Generative AI for the Legal Profession from Berkeley Law School and Artificial Intelligence: Implications for Business Strategy from MIT Sloan/CSAIL.
