Alexa Hunter is a registered Patent attorney in Denver. She counsels foreign and domestic companies on patent strategies, prepares and prosecutes patent applications, and manages complex domestic and international portfolios in the chemical, life sciences, and medical and surgical device fields. Alexa provides invalidity, clearance, and freedom-to-operate opinions and patent validity, infringement, and right to practice counseling and is also experienced in coordinating patent prosecution abroad in foreign jurisdictions.
Katie King is Principal with Kilpatrick and Project Management Leader of the firm’s LitSmart® E-Discovery Team in Winston-Salem. Katie works closely with the team’s project managers on all operational aspects of e-discovery and provides guidance and counsel to case teams and clients on legal and technical issues that arise throughout the discovery process. As a member of team management, Katie oversees the day-to-day e-discovery work the team undertakes and assists with the development and implementation of the team’s strategic goals and visions.
Brett Mellor, P.h.D. is a registered Patent attorney in Denver. He focuses his practice on patent prosecution and counseling in the fields of electronics and software. Dr. Mellor’s areas of expertise include analog and digital circuits, computer architecture, computer engineering, processor design, wireless communications systems, antennas, GPS receivers, signal and image processing, optics and optoelectronics, sensors, instrumentation, solar photovoltaic devices, artificial intelligence and machine learning, computer vision, and AR/VR/MR systems.
Matthew Meyer is a registered Patent Litigation attorney in Silicon Valley. He focuses his practice on intellectual property litigation, including patent litigation and commercial litigation concerning disputes over licensed technology. Matthew has experience litigating across technologies, including chemistry, software, optics, biometrics, computer peripherals, and wireless communications.
Andy Rinehart is a registered Patent Litigation attorney in Winston-Salem. He focuses his practice on intellectual property litigation across a variety of industries, including electronics, software, and telecommunications. Andy has experience in U.S. District Courts, the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, and the Federal Circuit. Before attending law school, Andy was a Captain in the United States Army.
Tiffany Thomas, P.h.D. is a registered Patent attorney in Atlanta. She practiced as a patent agent for over 15 years before graduating with honors from law school in 2020. While spending most of her time in law firms, Dr. Thomas worked for two years as a senior patent agent at Illumina, Inc. where she gained a valuable understanding of in-house practices. Dr. Thomas focuses her practice on patent prosecution, counseling, and management for companies, universities, and institutions of all sizes in life sciences, biotechnology, medical technology, chemistry, and pharmaceuticals.
