Insights: News Kilpatrick's Peter Boyle and Ben Barkley Honored in 2025 Irish Legal 100
ATLANTA (September 26) — Kilpatrick announced today that partners Peter Boyle and Ben Barkley have been named to the Irish Legal 100, the preeminent annual compilation honoring the most distinguished Irish-American legal professionals in the United States who share a connection in their Irish heritage.
Recognized for their leadership, outstanding client service, and meaningful contributions to the legal profession, Boyle and Barkley exemplify Kilpatrick’s commitment to excellence across complex, high-stakes matters. Their inclusion in the Irish Legal 100 underscores the firm’s dedication to fostering leadership and celebrating the cultural ties that enrich the legal community.
Peter Boyle, based in Washington D.C., leads Kilpatrick’s Antitrust Practice. He focuses his practice on antitrust litigation and counselling matters, in particular, antitrust issues relating to intellectual property, distribution matters, and trade associations. Mr. Boyle has substantial experience litigating private treble damages actions under both federal and state antitrust laws. He has handled numerous complex litigation matters implicating the overlap between the antitrust and intellectual property laws, including antitrust and economic issues arising in patent cases, such as antitrust counterclaims, misuse defenses, and patent damages claims.
Ben Barkley, based in Atlanta, leads Kilpatrick’s Corporate Department. He advises public and private clients in a broad range of corporate finance transactions and securities regulatory matters, including mergers and acquisitions; public offerings and private placements of debt and equity securities; venture capital and private equity investments; compliance with securities disclosure obligations; corporate governance; corporate restructurings; recapitalizations and distressed situations; joint ventures and strategic alliances; and special committee, board and independent director counsel.
Founded in 2008, the Irish Legal 100 is widely recognized as the premier legal award for lawyers of Irish blood. It is an integrated communications program that includes a digital edition, various online promotions, and a special invitation-only event in Washington, D.C., at the home of the Irish ambassador. The Irish Legal 100 features attorneys from the corporate world, major firms, and entrepreneurial practices, and also highlights distinguished members of the judiciary and the academy. Assertive in promoting Irish leadership and culture, the Irish Legal 100 has been called America’s most powerful Irish business network.
