Tyrus Cartwright is a registered patent attorney whose specialty is practicing before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) to obtain protections in various technologies. With his background in electrical and computer engineering, Tyrus has developed expertise in technological areas including artificial intelligence, machine learning algorithms, cloud computing, enterprise asset management data processing, consumer electronic and mechanical device software implementations, computer components and software systems and interfaces, business methods, wireless communication systems and components, and semiconductor components, among others.
Prior to joining the firm, Tyrus was founding member and a patent attorney at a law firm based in Boston, Massachusetts where he provided legal services to small business owners and entrepreneurs and focused his practice on various intellectual property matters including patents, trademarks, and IP due diligence. Tyrus also developed experience in practicing trademark law including performing due diligence, preparing, and filing trademark applications before the USPTO and earning registrations for his clients.
While attending law school, Tyrus served as summer extern at the USPTO as a participant in its Patent Experience Externship Program.
