Ligon Fant focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation matters in both state and federal court.
Prior to joining the firm, Ligon clerked for the Honorable Tilman E. Self, III, of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Georgia.
While attending law school at the University of Georgia, Ligon served as the Executive Notes Editor for the Journal of Intellectual Property Law, competed in the 29th Willem C. Vis International Arbitration Moot Competition, and gained hands-on experience through the Veterans Legal Clinic and the Criminal Defense Practicum. Ligon worked with the firm as a summer associate in 2021 and 2022.
Prior to law school, Ligon served as a commissioned officer in the United States Army, where he held leadership roles as an Armor Officer at Fort Stewart, Georgia, and as a Military Intelligence Officer in Hawaii. He deployed to Afghanistan from 2012 to 2013 as a Tank Platoon Leader with the Third Infantry Division. Over the course of his military service, Ligon attained the rank of Captain and received several awards, including the Meritorious Service Medal, Bronze Star Medal, and Combat Action Badge.
