Overview

Michael McWaters focuses his practice on construction and infrastructure projects and government contracting.

Prior to joining the firm, Michael was an associate in the Atlanta, Georgia office of an international law firm where he represented public and private companies in complex litigation matters in state and federal court. He concentrated his practice on commercial disputes, consumer class actions, and litigation involving the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and False Claims Act (FCA), while also maintaining an active pro bono practice.

While attending Washington University School of Law, Michael served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Audrey G. Fleissig in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri and to the Honorable Amy L. Weinhaus in the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Michael was a teaching assistant for the Legal Practice and Civil Procedure courses, a Notes Editor for the Washington University Law Review, and he received the Golden Quill Award for authoring the best brief in the Wiley Rutledge Moot Court Competition.
