Gautam Reddy focuses his practice on construction and infrastructure projects and government contracting. He has represented a wide variety of clients in the construction industry, including owners, EPC contractors, general contractors, subcontractors, and design professionals, both in the U.S. and internationally. His practice includes front-end contract drafting and negotiation, counseling clients during projects, and litigating cases in a variety of forums, including state and federal courts, domestic arbitration, international ICC arbitration, and the Civilian Board of Contract Appeals.

Mr. Reddy’s project experience has included large industrial mills and processing facilities, airports, hospitals, transportation infrastructure, pipelines, commercial developments, university facilities, and mining projects.

Representative matters include:

  • Representing an international EPC contractor in a €200 million-plus ICC arbitration of a dispute arising out of the construction of a large industrial facility in South America;
  • Representing a large private owner in a $100 million-plus arbitration regarding construction of a mining facility;
  • Representing an EPC contractor in a $165 million federal court litigation regarding a large industrial facility;
  • Representing a general contractor on a $25 million delay claim before the Civilian Board of Contract Appeals; and
  • Representing a pipeline contractor in a jury trial in Colorado state court with over $41 million in claims.

Mr. Reddy was recognized by The Best Lawyers in America® in 2024 for Construction Law and in 2021, 2022 and 2023 as one of the "Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch" for Construction Law and Construction Litigation. He was listed as an "Associate to Watch" for Construction Law in the 2022 edition and as "Up and Coming" in the area of Construction Law in the 2023 edition of Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business. Mr. Reddy was recommended by Legal 500 US in 2021, 2022 and 2023 for Construction and he was also named a "Rising Star" by Legal 500 US in 2021, 2022 and 2023 for Construction. Mr. Reddy was recognized as a Georgia “Rising Star” in 2023 and 2024 for Construction Litigation by Super Lawyers magazine. The Daily Report recognized Mr. Reddy as an "On the Rise" honoree during its annual Southeastern Legal Awards in 2023. He maintains an active pro bono practice and was recognized by Kids in Need of Defense (KIND) as an Atlanta Pro Bono Awardee in 2023 for his outstanding work on behalf of several unaccompanied immigrant children.

Mr. Reddy is also active in the community. He currently serves as the President for the South Asian Bar Association of Georgia and serves on the Board of Directors of the Construction Law Section of the Atlanta Bar Association. He is also devoted to pro bono work and maintains a very active pro bono practice. In 2020, Mr. Reddy received Kilpatrick’s Pro Bono Freedom Award in recognition of his efforts.

While in law school, Mr. Reddy served as a Notes & Comments Editor of the Emory Law Journal, President of the South Asian Law Students Association, and as a Dean’s Teaching Fellow. He was also awarded the Dean’s Public Service Award upon graduation. Mr. Reddy interned for the Honorable Frank Hull of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and the Honorable Carol Hunstein of the Georgia Supreme Court.

Mr. Reddy also contributes to construction law publications, including the annual Construction Law Update (Aspen) and Construction Disputes: Practice Guide with Forms (Aspen).
