Craig Schuenemann has more than 15 years of experience representing commercial clients in complex contract, tort, and construction actions in Colorado and across the country. Craig specializes in financial services litigation including the recovery of collateral, enforcement of guarantees, and commercial foreclosure. Craig excels at representing secured creditors in receiverships, workouts, distressed transactions, and bankruptcies. Craig’s clients include national banks, real estate investment firms, energy companies, and corporations across a wide variety of industries. In addition to his private litigation practice, Craig also serves as a Colorado state court judge, allowing him to offer clients a unique understanding of the litigation process.
Prior to joining the firm, Craig was a counsel in the Denver, Colorado office of an international law firm where he specialized in litigation and restructuring. Earlier in his career, Craig served as a law clerk for the Honorable Charles Weller in Nevada’s Second Judicial District Court.
Before attending law school, Craig served as an active-duty military officer in the United States Navy where he deployed overseas as a helicopter pilot numerous times, including an eight-month deployment supporting combat operations in Iraq. While attending law school, Craig continued his service on active-duty at the Pentagon where he served as a military assistant to the General Counsel of the Navy.
Craig was recognized as a Colorado “Rising Star” in 2018 for Commercial Litigation by Super Lawyers magazine. He has devoted considerable amount of time to pro-bono representation of low-income and veteran clients.
Craig has a basic knowledge of German.
